A Taste of What's To Come: Food Sovereignty Declared in U.S. City

Sedgwick, Maine has done what no other town in the United States has done. The town unanimously passed an ordinance giving its citizens the right “to produce, process, sell, purchase, and consume local foods of their choosing.” This includes raw milk, locally slaughtered meats, and just about anything else you can imagine. This video is focused on the North Okanagan region of BC, where many farmers are impacted. The new regulations have increased our reliance on industrial foods and reduced the amount of organic and ethically raised meat produced in the region. We would like to see a campaign across BC and urge all citizens to contact their local MLAs regarding this issue.
