Formerly known as Willing Workers on Organic Farmers, WWOOF is an organization set up to help international travelers broaden their education and practical experience by vacationing and volunteering on organic farms. WWOOFERs help 4-6 hours a day, 5 - 5 1/2 days per week and receive accommodations, meals and a very interesting experience. Over 800 Canadian hosts welcome WWOOFers: farms, rural properties, urban food gardeners. Note: Membership as host or volunteer is required to browse listings.

SOIL links Canadian farmers willing to take on and train apprentices with folks wanting to work and learn on an organic farm using sustainable practices. We aim to create apprenticeships which transfer lasting knowledge to both the farmer and the apprentice.

COABC is the provincially designated body responsible for overseeing the BC Certified Organic program; and also an umbrella group for regional organic certification bodies in BC. Provides a great variety of services, programs, and contacts for organic producers, processors and handlers in BC.

Runs a CSA serving 150 families between Valleyfield and Montreal; also sells at farmers' markets in Hudson and St Anne de Bellevue. Operates as a workers' coop, founded by five young people with a vision of ecological stability, sustainability, and progressive and egalitarian development; website in both French and English.

SAFO is a European Commission funded Concerted Action, which was carried out from March 2003 until August 2006.
The objective of the project was to improve food safety and animal health in organic livestock production systems through active communication of research results and conclusions.
