The Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems celebrated 20 years in 2009 and has an impressive array of resources for the full diversity of work on food systems development. The research Center is located at the University of Wisconsin and is part of the Wisconsin Institute for Sustainable Agriculture.  As their website states: "We were created in 1989 to build UW sustainable agriculture research programs that respond to farmer and citizen needs…and involve them in setting research agendas. This means that human relationships are at the core of everything we do." Well worth an extended visit.
