The Kamloops Community Kitchens and Gardens are a partnership with Interior Community Services and the City of Kamloops.
The Kamloops Community Kitchens provide a way for participants to learn more about cooking, baking, canning or freezing delicious and nutritious foods, and at the end, participants get to take some of the food home for themselves! Produce used is often donated to the program, so cost is low for participants. The possibilities with Community Kitchens are endless; new kitchens are starting weekly and there is always the opportunity to work towards organizing your own kitchen.
The Kamloops Community Gardens are fenced subdivisions of land dedicated to enabling people to discover the joy of growing their own garden. These plots are ideal for anyone who would like to grow their own nutritious foods at a low cost, meet like-minded people, exchange gardening tips and techniques with other gardeners, and spend time enjoying the outdoors and reaping the fruits of their own labour.
